Usage & Quota
The top bar shows three battery meters — a live answer to "how much runway do I have?":
| Battery | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ctx | Context window used by the current session. High = Claude is close to its memory limit. |
| 5h | Your Claude subscription's 5-hour rolling quota, with time until reset. |
| week | The weekly quota, with time until reset. |
The numbers come straight from Claude Code on your machine and update while sessions run.
Tapping the batteries
- ctx — compacts the current session (summarizes older history to free context), same as
/compact. - 5h / week — forces a fresh quota check. Use it if the values look stale (e.g. no session has run for hours).
Quota-recovered alerts
Hit the 5-hour limit and walk away — 16code watches the reset for you. The moment the quota is back, you get a push notification on your phone (via Bark) and a sound in any open browser tab. No more re-checking whether you can work again.
It fires once per reset, and can be turned off (or given a different threshold) in settings.
