Usage & Quota

The top bar shows three battery meters — a live answer to "how much runway do I have?":

BatteryMeaning
ctxContext window used by the current session. High = Claude is close to its memory limit.
5hYour Claude subscription's 5-hour rolling quota, with time until reset.
weekThe weekly quota, with time until reset.

The numbers come straight from Claude Code on your machine and update while sessions run.

Tapping the batteries

  • ctx — compacts the current session (summarizes older history to free context), same as /compact.
  • 5h / week — forces a fresh quota check. Use it if the values look stale (e.g. no session has run for hours).

Quota-recovered alerts

Hit the 5-hour limit and walk away — 16code watches the reset for you. The moment the quota is back, you get a push notification on your phone (via Bark) and a sound in any open browser tab. No more re-checking whether you can work again.

It fires once per reset, and can be turned off (or given a different threshold) in settings.
