Multiple Machines
Work machine, home desktop, a Linux box in the closet — bind them all and switch between them from the same web UI.
Add a machine
Repeat the two setup steps on each computer:
- Install the Agent
- Sign in — use the same web password as your other machines
Same password = same account: all such machines appear together.
Switch between them
Settings → Devices lists every machine on your account, each with:
- a green dot when its agent is currently connected,
- the projects it has open,
- buttons to switch to it or remove it.
The home tab also lets you pick a machine when opening a project. Sessions belong to the machine they run on; switching machines just changes which computer you're looking at.
Notes
- A machine's identity lives in
~/.codeon that machine. Wiping that directory (or reinstalling the OS) makes it bind as a new device — the old entry can be removed in Settings → Devices. - Seeing a stale duplicate entry after a reinstall? That's the old identity; delete it from the Devices list.
